ADULLAM FOUNDATION AFRICA COUNSELING COURSE NEWSLETTER HELD FROM 14/11/2013 to 4/12/2013 IN KENYA, UGANDA AND BURUNDI

Introduction

Welcome dear co-workers for counseling coursenewsletter and discover the greatest work that God has done in last yearseminars and

graduations in Western Kenya, Eastern Uganda and Bujumbura / Ngozi Province of Burundi.   

On 15/11/2013, No sooner Rev. Kees Beekhuizen had justarrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi Kenya than we hired ataxi to

Scott University to hold a meeting with University Senate to discussabout the progress, development and issue of upgrading counseling

coursecurriculum to University level, our discussion yielded fruit where we had signed an agreement of working on the paper.


14/11/2013-20/11/2013 Western Kenya Counseling CourseSeminars report


Our first seminar begun in Khaweli church Bungoma under Bishop Eliud Juma. We were invited as African team together with International

Field Director Rev. Kees Beekhuizen. Seminar flyer 30 was shared with Pastors and the entire congregation. We were amazed to see how the

church participated inteachings through asking questions.

On the next day we were invited to Bukokholo, Mukuwato teach again a seminar on flyer 39, the place is hilly deep in remote areas.  As per

there confession, “Rev. Kees was thefirst Missionary and White Person to visit the area and introduce Christian teachings”.  Another seminar

was followedin Sibumba and Wamini where Robert gave an overview and Rev. Kees shared flyer 44to the congregation.

21/11/2013-23/11/2013 Eastern Uganda Counseling Course Graduation and Seminars report


After Kenya Seminars, we crossed to Tororo Uganda through Malaba Boarder. Pastors from Kajarau, Kamuli, Molo, Nyamaloko NationalSoul

Outreach Ministry under Bishop Opio invited Adullam Team together with International Field Director to teach several series of counseling

course seminars flyer 59, 38, 7.  The impact of the seminar was great and pastors requested more time in the next visit.  On 23/11/2013 58

students graduated with counseling course Certificates and Diploma in Pastoral counseling Course. It was the combination of Kenya Pastors

(20) from Butokomi who reside near BusiaBoarder who joined (38) Pastors from Sibona Busia Uganda for joined Graduation;Rev Kees

handed over certificate and diploma to graduating Pastors. District EducationalOfficer from Uganda was the Guest of Honor in the ceremony.

He was motivated and blessed with the course and promised to link the course to the grassroots people in the community and the Government

of Uganda where the church is the main agent of spreading the course.

25/11/2013-4/12/2013: Bujumbura and Ngozi Province of Burundi Counseling Course Seminars and Graduations Report


Under the Leadership of our counseling course Co-ordinator Mathias,Pastors requested the course, therefore, we were invited to share series

of seminars flyer 43, 65, 86, 13, 19. Rev. Kees shared all flyers which motivated the church to ask open questions on teachings. Geographical

areas of the seminars and graduation were in Kanyosha Bujumbura and Msasa Refugee Camp in Ngozi Province of Burundi.

The Camp comprises of 6,000 Refugees from Congo(Majority) Burundi and Rwanda (Minority). Despite hard condition and life in the Camp, we

saw the burden ofrefugees to serve God.  After following the course, they openly confessed how it changed and transformed their life’s

and learning some practical counseling tips  in which will help to counsel traumatized people in the camp.

106 graduated students from Kanyosha and the Camp got counseling course certificates and Diploma after following the course.  Rev. Kees

was the  Guest who officiated graduation ceremony together with Africa Field Director Mr. Robert Simiyu Kakai.

Three weeks counseling course mission was successful, guided and protected with God through faithful prayers we got from our

Co-workersPartner worldwide!
