Robert and Rev. Kees arrived in Burundi on 27/11/2014. We were welcomed joyfully with Adullam Burundi Coordinator Mathias and the team in Bujumbura International AirPort. In the following day as a team we travelled by bus in Musasa Refugee camp in Ngozi Province of Northern Burundi. The camp is dominated by Congolese people who fled from their Country because of ethnic war, but minorities are refugees from Burundi and Rwanda.
Counseling Course seminars begun officially from 29/11/2014 to 12/12/2014. During those days of seminars, pastors and the church members interacted freely and shared flyers to each other as they allow the power of God and the spirit to direct there life’s. God set them free from stress, depression and hurting that overwhelmed their lives in the camp. Due to hard life, women started a small project for income generating activities, money from the project can be used for food and supporting the work of the Lord. As a team we trained the following flyers that were chosen basing on their spiritual needs.
1. The Church and Suffering.
2. The Church as Conflict Manager.
3. The Church and Rejection.
4. The Church and False Doctrine/Discipleship.
5. The Church and Teamwork/Personal Holiness.
6. The Church and Spiritual Leadership.
7. The Church and Stress/Depression.
8. The Church and Lonely People.
9. The Church and Dehumanizing Pain.
10. The Church and Hurtful experience.
After teaching seminars in the camp on 13/12/2014, we drove in Bujumbura and met counseling course students in Kanyosha ready to hear counseling course teachings, true spiritual unity flyer was real a blessings, we visit one student who lost family member for spiritual comfort and even attending the wedding of counseling course student in Kanyosha. Among students following the course are policemen, some have already graduate with Diplomas, the day before departure, a team we visited Burundi Police department, after sharing about the course, they were moved and accepted to learn. We give thanks to God for supporting the work. Thanks goes to Adullam Holland Board for mutual and spiritual support.
